Sound & Somatics FACILITATOR Training
Science & Soul. • Mystery & Method.
You’ve felt what’s possible in these spaces…
The shift.
The stillness.
The way sound can soften the noise of the mind and bring people back into their body.
And maybe something in you recognised:
Not just the desire to receive this work —
but the desire to hold it.
To create spaces where people can exhale.
Reconnect.
Feel safe enough to soften.
Safe enough to feel.
And now the question becomes:
How do I actually guide that experience?
BECOME A SOUND & SOMATICS FACILITATOR
Learn how to hold rooms, guide embodied experiences, and facilitate transformation with presence, confidence, and care.
Limited to 12 participants
6-week online training
+ 2.5-day in-person immersion Certification included
THIS IS NOT JUST A SOUND TRAINING.
Most sound trainings focus on instruments.
This training focuses on the facilitator.
Because the depth of an experience is not created solely by what you play — but by your ability to listen, attune, pace and respond in real time.
The facilitator is the primary instrument.
Your presence shapes the room.
Your nervous system becomes the anchor.
Your listening guides the experience.
This work develops the sensitivity to feel what is happening beneath the surface — to recognise when a space needs grounding, softness, stillness, spaciousness, sound, or silence.
Because transformation is not created through performance.
It happens through safety.
Through attunement.
Through the body’s ability to soften, feel and respond.
The bowls are part of the conversation.
But they are not the facilitation.
The real practice is learning how to listen deeply enough to guide people into embodied experience with precision, presence and care.
The sound is the entry point.
Presence is what transforms the room.
Why This Training Exists
Over the years, I've trained in many modalities.
Yoga. Kundalini. Breathwork. Fitness. Energetic bodywork. Mindfulness. Sound.
Each taught me something valuable.
But what fascinated me most wasn't the modality itself.
It was what happened in the space around it.
The subtle art of creating environments where people could soften, settle, reconnect, and experience something real.
Again and again, I noticed that the most impactful facilitators weren't necessarily the ones with the most techniques.
They were the ones with the greatest capacity to listen.
To regulate themselves while guiding others.
To sense what was happening beneath the surface and respond in real time.
To create safety without controlling the experience.
To hold depth without force.
Over time, I became far more interested in these qualities than any particular method.
Because while a modality may open the door, it is the facilitator who shapes the experience.
This training was born from that understanding.
A synthesis of:
— sound
— somatic awareness
— nervous-system intelligence
— sensory attunement
— embodied facilitation
— experiential design
Not simply how to play the bowls.
But how to hold a room.
How to trust your presence.
How to work with what is actually happening in front of you.
How to guide experiences that feel coherent, grounded, safe, and genuinely transformative.
The sound is part of the journey.
Presence is what transforms the room.
WHAT THIS TRAINING
DEVELOPS
✺ DEEP LISTENING & ATTUNEMENT
Learn to listen beyond surface sound — developing greater sensitivity to pacing, silence, sensation, nervous-system shifts, and the subtle dynamics unfolding within a room.
As your listening deepens, so does your capacity to facilitate with clarity, intuition, and trust.
✺ REGULATED PRESENCE
Learn how to ground yourself under pressure so your nervous system becomes an anchor for the room.
Develop the ability to lead without overperforming, overthinking, or losing connection to yourself.
✺ GUIDING ATTENTION INTO THE BODY
Use sound, breath, sensory awareness, and guiding language to help people shift from mental noise into embodied presence.
Learn how to guide attention in ways that help groups settle, soften, and arrive.
✺ NERVOUS SYSTEM AWARENESS
Understand pacing, co-regulation, emotional safety, and how to create trust within group environments.
Learn how to recognise overwhelm, read the room in real time, and support depth without force.
✺ JOURNEY DESIGN & FACILITATION STRUCTURE
Learn how to create experiences that feel coherent, intentional, and deeply held using The Sound Arc™ framework.
Move beyond improvisation and develop the confidence to facilitate with structure and responsiveness.
WHY THIS TRAINING
IS DIFFERENT
Many sound trainings focus primarily on technique.
How to play the bowls.
How to sequence instruments.
How to create beautiful sound.
While those skills matter, they are only one part of the work.
This training focuses on facilitation.
On learning how to:
regulate yourself while guiding others
create emotionally safe experiences
read the nervous system in real time
guide coherent group journeys
work with pacing, silence, and sensory awareness
facilitate without relying on scripts or performance
People do not remember perfect technique.
They remember how they felt in your presence. Grounded. Responsive. Attuned. Clear.
THE SOUND ARC™
At the core of this training is The Sound Arc™ — a structured facilitation framework designed to guide people into deep embodied states safely and intentionally.
You’ll learn how to move a group through:
– arrival & safety
– sensory descent
– nervous-system regulation
– breath & sound entrainment
– immersion & silence
– return & integration
So your sessions feel coherent, grounded, and deeply held — not performative or disjointed.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
Sound-Led Somatic Facilitation
Learn how to guide immersive experiences that help people move out of the mind and back into embodied awareness.
Self-Regulation & Embodied Leadership
Develop the capacity to stay grounded, responsive and attuned while holding space for others.
Voice & Guiding Language
Learn how to guide clearly and confidently without sounding scripted, performative or overexplained.
Sound As A Facilitation Tool
Use crystal bowls and therapuetic instruments intentionally to support pacing, emotional tone, regulation, and immersion.
Nervous System Awareness & Group Dynamics
Understand pacing, co-regulation, emotional safety and how to track shifts within individuals and groups in real time.
Session Design & Experience Curation
Create experiences that feel spacious, intentional and deeply attuned from beginning to end.
Real-World Facilitation
Learn how to begin facilitating:
– private sessions
– group journeys
– wellness events
– retreats
– immersive embodied experiences
There is a level of depth in this work that goes beyond technique. In this training, you’ll learn how to work with your own state— so your presence becomes the anchor for the entire room.
HOW THE TRAINING UNFOLDS
-
Over 4 weeks of live online training, you'll build the foundations of sound-led facilitation and embodied space holding.
Together we'll explore:
• The Sound Arc™ facilitation framework
• Nervous system regulation, co-regulation, and the foundations of Polyvagal Theory
• Deep listening, meditation, and presence practices
• Voice, pacing, language, and guiding attention
• Sound, vibration, resonance, and the science of entrainment
• Brainwaves, altered states, and the therapeutic potential of sound
• Cymatics and the relationship between frequency and form
• Foundations of energetic anatomy and energy awareness
• The chakra system as a map for awareness and facilitation
• Session structure, journey design, and creating meaningful experiences
Alongside the educational content, you'll be encouraged to establish a personal practice of meditation, self-regulation, and inner listening.
Because the quality of your facilitation is inseparable from the quality of your own presence.
-
Throughout the online phase, you'll begin applying what you're learning in real life.
You'll be encouraged to practice your opening scripts, sensory awareness exercises, breath practices and facilitation skills in a supportive environment.
This is where confidence begins to build.
Not through more information, but through experience and integration.
-
We then gather together in person across three carefully chosen locations throughout the Byron Shire.
Each space has been selected intentionally — whether for its acoustics, atmosphere, learning opportunities, or ability to support deeper embodiment.
This weekend is where theory becomes lived experience.
You'll learn through demonstration, practice, feedback, observation, and facilitation.
Expect a blend of sound, nervous system education, deep listening, experiential learning, personal transformation and plenty of time to connect with like-minded people walking a similar path.
-
The training culminates in a professionally held public sound bath experience at Blue Green Sanctuary.
Set within one of the Byron hinterland's most beautiful retreat environments, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the creation and facilitation of a real-world event, supported every step of the way.
Surrounded by nature, beauty, and the subtle intelligence of the environment itself, this final experience bridges the gap between learning and doing.
For many students, it's the moment they realise:
"I can actually do this."
-
Following the training, you'll receive continued access to the online materials and recordings, allowing you to revisit key concepts and continue integrating your learning.
This training serves as the foundation of a larger learning pathway, with future opportunities to deepen into breathwork, somatic processes, energetic awareness, and advanced facilitation.

THE FINAL INTEGRATION EXPERIENCE
This training does not end in theory.
It culminates in a live immersive experience held at Blue Green Sanctuary — a retreat space intentionally designed to support deep rest, nervous-system regulation, and embodied learning.
Surrounded by natural beauty, thoughtful architecture, and refined sensory detail, this environment becomes part of the facilitation itself.
Here, you’ll co-create and support a complete sound-led experience.
Not simply learning how to facilitate.
Actually facilitating.
This is where everything integrates.
THE SPACES YOU’LL BE HELD IN
The in-person immersion takes place across carefully selected environments designed to support depth and embodiment.
From a grounded, intimate studio setting for practice and integration…
to the expansive, refined atmosphere of Blue Green Sanctuary.
Each space is intentional.
Each one supports the nervous system to soften, open, and go deeper.

Where This Work Can Take You
Featured In
During a wellness retreat at Byron View Farm, journalist Frances Whiting shared this reflection after experiencing one of Brieann's sound bath sessions.
"After the session I felt both relaxed and energetic, something of a small miracle for me and probably last felt in childhood."
— Frances Whiting, Courier Mail
IN THEIR WORDS…
FINAL NOTE
There are many ways to learn a modality.
There are far fewer opportunities to learn how to truly hold a room.
To stay present when someone is emotional.
To trust yourself when the experience doesn't go to plan.
To listen deeply enough to know what is needed next.
This is not a training in performing transformation.
It is a practice in becoming the kind of facilitator people can soften around.
The kind of facilitator who can create safety without control.
Depth without force.
Structure without rigidity.
Because in the end, people rarely remember every word you said.
They remember how they felt in your presence.
If something in you has been recognising yourself throughout these pages, perhaps that's not accidental.
Perhaps it's time to step into the role you've already been moving towards.
We'd love to welcome you.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
No.
While owning bowls can be helpful, it is not a requirement for this training.
The principles of facilitation, nervous system awareness, journey design, deep listening, and space holding can all be learned regardless of whether you currently own instruments.
The in-person immersion is designed to be highly experiential and hands-on. You'll have plenty of opportunities to practice, facilitate, receive feedback, and experience different sets of quartz, crystal singing bowls and other therapeutic instruments before deciding what, if anything, you'd like to invest in yourself.
Recommendations on purchasing bowls and instruments will be provided throughout the training, along with access to student discounts and equipment hire options where available.
If you already own bowls or other instruments, you're very welcome to bring them along.
This training is ultimately about becoming a skilled facilitator. The instruments are important, but they are only one part of the experience.
-
There are plenty of beautiful accommodation options throughout Byron Bay, Bangalow, Newrybar and the Hinterland.
We'll provide a list of recommended accommodation options closer to the immersion weekend, ranging from budget-friendly stays through to boutique retreat-style accommodation.
Many participants may also choose to share accommodation together.
-
We're currently finalising the schedule and venue logistics, but as a general guide:
• Saturday and Sunday will be full training days, likely running between approximately 9am–6pm.
• One day will likely begin slightly earlier and finish earlier, while the other may start later and finish later.
• Monday is currently planned for approximately 2pm–8pm and will have a more retreat-style feel focused on integration and real-world application.
Final schedules will be provided well in advance so travel and accommodation can be arranged with ease.
-
Comfortable clothing, a journal, water bottle and an open mind.
If you already have instruments you'd like feedback on or experience practising with, you're welcome to bring them along.
A detailed packing list will be provided before the immersion weekend.
-
Yes.
This training has been designed for both complete beginners and existing practitioners.
Whether you're simply curious about sound or already working within wellness, coaching, yoga, retreat facilitation, or healing spaces, you'll receive practical skills that can be applied immediately.
-
Yes.
This is not a training where you'll spend the weekend sitting and taking notes.
You'll be actively participating, practising, facilitating, receiving feedback and learning through direct experience.
The goal is for you to leave having actually done the work and facilitated sessions not simply learned about it.
-
Almost everyone is.
In fact, learning to work with nerves, self-doubt and being seen is often part of the journey.
No prior facilitation experience is expected.
You'll be supported step-by-step through practical exercises, guided practice, observation, feedback, and real-world experience.
There is no expectation that you arrive confident.
The training is designed to build confidence through repetition, experience and support.
We'll be working alongside one another the entire way.
By the end, most students are surprised by how far they've come.
-
Yes.
All online sessions will be recorded and made available to participants.
Live attendance is encouraged where possible, but recordings will be available if you're unable to attend live.
-
The founding cohort is intentionally intimate, with numbers capped at under 12 participants.
This allows for a more personalised learning experience, deeper feedback and meaningful connection within the group.
-
Maybe. Maybe not.
What I can say is that a number of participants are already travelling from outside the Byron region, and one of the unexpected gifts of immersive trainings like this is the connections that form along the way.
If your heart is pulling you toward the training, I wouldn't let coming alone be the thing that stops you.
-
Yes.
Upon completion of the training, students will receive a Certificate of Completion in Sound & Somatics Facilitation Training (Level 1).
This certification recognises your successful completion of the training and your demonstrated understanding of the core facilitation principles taught within the program.
-
That is absolutely our intention.
Confidence comes through both understanding and practice.
Throughout the training you'll have opportunities to observe, practice, receive feedback, and participate in real-world facilitation experiences.
While mastery develops over time, students leave with a clear framework, practical experience, and the confidence to begin facilitating sound-led experiences in their own way.
-
Not at all.
Some students join with the intention of offering professional sessions.
Others join for personal growth, deeper embodiment, or to bring these skills into existing work.
There is no expectation that you facilitate professionally during the live, public event sceduled during the immersion weekend. Or that you facilitate professionally after completing the training, unless you desire to.
-
The online component is delivered live via Zoom. We will also stay in touch via whatsapp group.
The in-person immersion takes place across several carefully selected locations throughout the northern Rivers (Mullumbimby + Byron Bay + Newrybar)
The final public experience is held at Blue Green Sanctuary in Newrybar (15mins from Byron town centre)
Full venue details and schedules will be provided prior to commencement.
-
No.
While these elements are woven throughout the training, no previous experience is required.
The primary focus of Level 1 is sound-led facilitation, with breath, nervous system awareness, and subtle energetic principles introduced as supporting layers.
-
Level 1 focuses on sound-led facilitation, nervous system awareness, journey design, presence, and group space holding.
Future trainings will offer deeper exploration into breathwork, somatic processes, energetic bodywork, subtle energy awareness, and advanced facilitation skills.
-
Absolutely.
Naturally, many students join specifically to bring sound, nervous system awareness, and embodied facilitation skills into work they are already doing.
The principles taught throughout the training translate beautifully into retreats, workshops, coaching, movement spaces, wellness practices, and private sessions.
-
That's completely normal.
In fact, many of the people who are most drawn to this work don't arrive feeling fully confident or certain.
They arrive feeling curious.
Called.
Interested.
Perhaps with a quiet sense that there is something here for them.
You don't need to have experience.
You don't need to have all the answers.
And you certainly don't need to feel "ready."
This training is designed to meet you where you are and support your growth from there.
Most participants will be meeting for the first time, many will be travelling solo, and everyone arrives with their own mix of excitement and nerves.
You'll be in very good company.
This work tends to attract thoughtful, open-hearted people who are committed to growth, connection, and learning.
You don't need to be the finished product before you begin.
That's what the journey is for.
